Contract Generalist

A dynamic position providing leadership and support to the organization in a range of human resource functions with an emphasis on talent and culture development for a growth oriented world class Innovation and Product Development firm. This key management position reports directly to the president and is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating, strategies, policies and best practices relating to all phases of the Human Resources function.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the professional recruiting (working closely with the internal Talent Acquisition organization), onboarding, training and professional development programs across our global offices to insure the professional learning, growth and development of each employee. It also includes important activities such as culture building and development, performance management, employee issue resolution and satisfaction. As a key culture carrier for the firm, a critical responsibility of this position is maintaining professional and positive employee relations and institutionalizing programs that will foster a positive culture and team environment of performance, innovation, and fun.

Responsibilities:
Function as a business partner to the management team, developing strategies that drive the growth, performance and profitability of the organization.
Develop and maintain productive, effective, and ethical business relationships with the team to foster a culture of performance, creativity, teamwork, and proactive employee development.
Acts as a guardian and enthusiastic promoter of brand, culture, and core values.
Working closely with Talent Acquisition, Senior Management, site leaders, and hiring managers to validate job and role descriptions, identify and validate candidates, and promote a positive and productive recruiting process.
Provides HR support for constituency groups on performance management, compensation, employee relation issues, and other matters.
Works with employees and supervisors to ensure training and other development goals are met.
Employee satisfaction. Engages regularly with employees at all levels to ensure that their concerns are elevated to management as appropriate. Acts as an advocate for employees while balancing the goals of the business as a senior manager of the firm.
Acts as a proactive member of the global management team, providing human resource thought leadership and helping facilitating good team resource related decisions and cultural harmony while delivering results.
Participate in conducting new employee orientations and supervisory trainings. Facilitates or assist with termination and exit interviews to determine necessary follow-up actions.

Requirements:
The candidate for this position must have an engaging and self-motivated style with exceptional people and communication skills suitable for compelling and motivating a range of professional types across a global organization.
B.S. /B.A. degree in H.R., Business, or related field or equivalent in education and/or experience. Minimum of eight (8) years plus experience in professional staff Human Resource position in a professional service environment. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proven interpersonal skills and good judgment. Sensitivity to cultural differences inherent in a global organization.
Must be flexible, able to juggle multiple priorities, and be detail oriented. Software experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Knowledgeable in Federal and Massachusetts employment Law, and able to research and coordinate information regarding other jurisdictions.
Experience working within a product design studio or a consultancy a plus
Knowledge of Chinese and or additional culture and labor environment a plus.
Pay Rate: $46/hr
Projected duration: 2 months (maybe longer with possibility of conversion to direct hire)
Salary range if converted to direct hire: $90-100k
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
