Job Summary

The Data Steward II (DS) is responsible for assisting with the successful implementation and continuous development of the Master Data Management program for Jabil. This position is responsible for entering critical data objects, assisting with creating and implementing data standards, along with the corresponding governance processes required to ensure data accuracy.

The DS interacts with key folks from all aspects of the organization on establishing data accuracy and driving organizational change resulting in enterprise wide adoption of the MDM program. The DS assists in the development and monitoring of key KPI's to ensure the program is performing at an optimal level and bringing value to the organization. This role is challenged to meet all service level targets by ensuring they satisfy all customer requirements in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the integrity and quality of data created/updated within the master data governance system (MDG) and SAP.
  • Responsible for meeting established requirements and assessing the quality of the data.
  • Assist in the creation of data standards and business rules.
  • Follow a formal established process to create and maintain the organizations data assist in developing the future process.
  • Be responsible for supporting the data standards efforts.
  • Escalate appropriately in a timely manner where and when required.
  • Make sure that all data is scrutinized in order to establish not only good data but trustworthy data.
  • Continually researches and analyzes that the dataset adheres to Jabil standards/policies, the data makes sense, and the data is reliable.
  • Ensure data documentation is continuously maintained to meet the business needs.
  • Participate in the data management team for a geographic area but support a global request-based process.
  • Communicate effectively with site personnel when data is not appropriate, inadequate or non-compliant.
  • Assure duplicate data records are not being created.
  • Work together with the regional teams to share experiences & best practices.
  • Endorse good data management practices, use them, and share them.
  • Support communication, education and training strategies.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong skills with proven track record in master data management, materials management or financial management.
  • Effective communication, leadership, business analytics, process development, and change management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well with teams is also required.
  • Knowledge of SAP, master data elements is beneficial.
  • Ability to interface and influence levels of management internal and external to Jabil
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
  • Applicants should have a good understanding of how to map & breakdown business processes

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree preferred with concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology or Business Analytics.
  • 2-4 years of either Materials/Data Management, Finance or IT experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
